Fibre Broadband

- Option for two connections for up to twice the speed
We will arrange for either one or two fibre broadband connections up to 40 Mbps to be installed in school depending on your choice. If two connections are ordered we will setup load balancing between the two connections for up to twice the speed.
These connections will replace your existing MEWAN connection and you will be billed directly by the Internet Service Provider on a monthly basis. There is a minimum contract length of 24 months.

The content filtering and security server is a compact server which is specified for the job, however it can easily be upgraded should your requirements change in the future. The server comes with a 5 year warranty from the manufacturer.

Our package can also be extended to include email. The email server software will be installed on your content filtering and security server, but will be allocated its own system resources to ensure performance. It will be integrated into your network where possible with all your required email addresses and mailing lists.
As part of the installation will be transfer all the head teacher and admin account emails and contacts. Other accounts can be transferred at a small extra cost.

Software Updates
Our package can also be extended to software updates. The software update server software will be installed on your content filtering and security server, but will be allocated its own system resources to ensure performance. It will be integrated into your network so that all your domain joined PCs running Microsoft Windows receive any available updates on a daily basis.

Maintenance Agreement
Your content filtering and security server can look after itself, but like with any server it benefits from regular maintenance to keep on top of any issues which may arise if left unchecked. Regular maintenance also allows you to benefit from extra functionality offered by new updates which are released.
We will regularly maintain your server without causing unnecessary disruption and you will have one point of contact for any issues or requests, such as changing your filtering or security policy, providing web access reports, adding, removing and changing email addresses, and changing your software updates settings.
We offer two types of agreement. The first allows you to purchase the server hardware as a one off cost which you will own, or if you prefer you can rent the server hardware from us so you don’t have the initial outlay.
To stay inline with the minimum contract length of your fibre broadband connections, there is a minimum contract length of 24 months.
